Starting a wedding stationery business was the most daunting thing I ever did! In 2018, I was a full time nurse, working long shifts around two small children and I wasn’t happy. I had previously done art and graphic design when I was at school but never found a creative job I liked. I didn’t know where to start or what I wanted to do but I knew I loved drawing so that’s how it started. I slowly began building my business over the next few years researching and practising new skills such as calligraphy, watercolour and making mistakes, plenty of mistakes! However, if it wasn’t for all those trial and error moments, I wouldn’t be here doing what I love and working with amazing clients from all around the world! I have built a successful business from scratch, turning over more profits each year. I work with some incredible suppliers and have worked on wonderful projects, all from the comfort of my own home. With my help, I can help turn your creative dreams into a reality!
BUSINESS TRAINING:
What’s included?
My 1-1 business training covers everything from branding, marketing, workflow systems, accounting, invoicing and business legalites which all stationers should have. This is done through Zoom and I recommend 1-2 hours for this training.
STATIONERY TRAINING:
What’s included?
Once we have had an initial telephone consultation to discuss where you are in terms of knowledge around wedding stationery, I will build a personalised training package which will cover a range of topics. This will include discussing design programmes and how I use them, how to attract your dream client, pricing your work, creating concepts and proofs for your clients, how to set up your artwork for printing, the different print processes, how to find suppliers that compliment your business, tips and tricks on assembly, different delivery options, client contracts and workflow systems. I will also cover the importance of branding, packaging and good customer service to build a memorable and successful business.
PAINTED JACKET TRAINING:
What’s included?
This training is suitable for those with a good knowledge and background of painting. You can opt to purchase the PDF to start practising in your own time or you can incoporate some 1-1 training via Zoom, to assist you in creating your perfect jacket design. The PDF will include a step by step guide which covers how I prepare, design and paint a jacket from start to finish. It will include a list of tools and suppliers I use as well as some helpful tips and tricks to perfecting the finished jacket look so it’s wearable for years to come. The Zoom call is recommended so you can ask me questions so you can prepare your first jacket in confidence!
